Scholarships and Charitable Funds

The Hilton Education Foundation manages scholarships and other charitable funds to help support public education in Hilton. The HEF also makes it easy for people and businesses to designate their gifts for specific programs or projects.
At the end of fiscal year 2018, the HEF managed the following funds to enhance educational excellence:

District Fitness and Wellness Committee

District Fitness and Wellness Committee will promote healthy life styles of students and school employees that may include, but not be limited to, physical, mental, emotional, and fiscal wellness.

Principal’s Checkbook

The Principal’s Checkbook program provides emergency funds for principals at the five Hilton School District schools. The program gives Hilton’s principals the discretion to use a set amount of funds to help students pay for school supplies and other needs not addressed by the District. Wegmans Food Markets provides the funds used in the Principal’s Checkbook provides the funds used in the Principal’s Checkbook.

Grants Awarded

In the past fiscal year, the Hilton Education Foundation awarded $2800.00 in grants to support classroom not covered by the Hilton School District budget.

 

Mini-grants are awards of up to $500 given to teachers for programs they wish to offer that encourage        creativity, enhance curriculum and enrich the learning experiences of their students. Listed are the 2017-2018 grants that were funded through your support of the HEF.

The HEF benefits all five schools in the HCSD consisting of Quest Elementary School, Northwood Elementary School, Village Elementary School, Merton Williams Middle School and Hilton High School.
