Scholarships and Charitable Funds

The Hilton Education Foundation manages scholarships and other charitable funds to help support public education in Hilton. The HEF also makes it easy for people and businesses to designate their gifts for specific programs or projects.
At the end of fiscal year 2018, the HEF managed the following funds to enhance educational excellence:

Scholarships are funded entirely by the families, individuals or organizations that have endowed them. The Education Foundation Scholarship Committee awards scholarships based on merit, need, academic and professional experience, as well as preferred criteria established by those funding the scholarship. You may express your commitment as additional donations are welcome to any of the specific named scholarships or you may establish a new scholarship.

District Fitness and Wellness Committee

District Fitness and Wellness Committee will promote healthy life styles of students and school employees that may include, but not be limited to, physical, mental, emotional, and fiscal wellness.

Principal’s Checkbook

The Principal’s Checkbook program provides emergency funds for principals at the five Hilton School District schools. The program gives Hilton’s principals the discretion to use a set amount of funds to help students pay for school supplies and other needs not addressed by the District.

The Hilton Class of 1970 Alumni Fund Grants

The Hilton Class of 1970 Alumni Fund provides grants to enhance the classroom experience at all grade levels.  The grants will make it possible for faculty and administrators to purchase additional equipment and resources not included in the HCSD budget.  Applications will be reviewed on a quarterly basis.

The HEF benefits all five schools in the HCSD consisting of Quest Elementary School, Northwood Elementary School, Village Elementary School, Merton Williams Middle School and Hilton High School.
