Hilton Education Foundation (HEF) Awarded Three $2500 Scholarships including a Microsoft Surface Pro7 Bundle to Hilton High School 2019 graduates.

The Hilton Education Foundation (HEF) awarded a $2500 scholarship including a Microsoft Surface Pro7 bundle to three Hilton High School 2019 graduates. HEF Scholarships were awarded to: Carter Miles and Ryan Butts.  Carter is enrolled in the 3+3 Doctor of Physical Therapy program; attending SUNY Brockport for three years and SUNY Upstate Medical University for the final three years of the program. Ryan is enrolled in Civil Engineering at Clarkson University. The first recipient of the Women’s STEM Scholarship went to Catherine Pickering.  Catherine is studying in BFA, NYU Game Center at New York University Tisch School of Arts.

HEF offers three scholarships in its name annually to Hilton High School seniors: The Hilton Education Foundation Scholarship, Hilton Education Foundation Skilled Trades and Services Scholarship and The Hilton Education Foundation Women’s STEM Scholarship. The Microsoft Surface Pro7 computers were privately donated by Aaron (HCSD 1994) and Alana Unterborn. The dollar value of the donation is matched through Microsoft’s Give program and the matched funds are placed into the HEF scholarship fund.

Hilton Education Foundation was incorporated in 2006 to provide students with opportunities beyond what the school district can provide. Along with awarding scholarships, HEF supports the Cadet Cupboard. Hilton Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit led by a seven-member Board of Directors that is comprised of volunteer members from the community, business and education, and is a member of the American Schools Foundation Alliance. One Hundred (100%) percent of all Cadet Cupboard and Scholarship donations go directly to the students. The four (4%) percent administrative fees are funded by the Foundation’s fund-raising activities. The Hilton Education Foundation does not receive funding from the Hilton Central School District.
