Hilton Education Foundation Awards $7,500 in Scholarships to Class of 2023

The Hilton Education Foundation (HEF) awarded three $2,500 scholarships totaling $7,500 in addition to a Microsoft Surface Laptop to three 2023 Hilton High School graduates, at Bravo Night on June 6. Since 2008, the Hilton Education Foundation has awarded $77,500 in its name to Hilton High School seniors. They also offer many other scholarships and awards through the HEF that can be found on their website at http://www.hiltoneducationfoundation.org.

Gabrielle Hix and Sydney Heise were the recipients of the Aggie Seneway Founder Scholarship. Hix is attending Siena College, majoring in Biology. Heise is attending George Washington University, majoring in Political Communication.

Alyssa Almekinder received the HEF Women’s STEM Scholarship. She is attending Monroe Community College, majoring in Optical Technologies.

The Surface Pro computers were privately donated by Aaron (HCSD Class of 1994) and Alana Unterborn. The dollar value of the donation is matched through Microsoft’s Give program. The matched funds are placed into the HEF scholarship fund.

The Hilton Education Foundation (HEF) awarded three $2,500 scholarships, totaling $7,500, in addition to a Microsoft Surface Laptop to three 2022 Hilton High School graduates on June 6, at the district’s Bravo Night. Since 2008, HEF has awarded $70,000 in its name to Hilton High School seniors.

HEF offers three scholarships in its name annually to Hilton High School seniors: The Hilton Education Foundation Scholarship, Hilton Education Foundation Skilled Trades and Services Scholarship and the Women’s STEM Scholarship. Aggie Seneway Founder Scholarships were presented to Logan McGranaghan who is attending SUNY Fredonia to study Music Composition and Jameson DiPalma who is attending the University of Virginia, majoring in Mathematics.

Hilton Education Foundation Woman’s STEM Scholarship was presented to Rylie Del Vecchio who is attending Case Western Reserve University, majoring in Neuroscience.

The Skilled Trades Scholarship was awarded to Ethan Dilulio, who will be attending Monroe Community College. And the Women's STEM Scholarship went to Alexi Lane, and she will be attending the University of Dayton.

Kayla is enrolled in Industrial Labor Relations at Cornell University. The recipient of the Women’s STEM Scholarship went to Faith Keller, who will be studying Marine Science/Research at SUNY Stony Brook.

The Hilton Education Foundation (HEF) awarded a $2500 scholarship including a Microsoft Surface Pro7 bundle to three Hilton High School 2019 graduates. HEF Scholarships were awarded to: Carter Miles and Ryan Butts.  Carter is enrolled in the 3+3 Doctor of Physical Therapy program; attending SUNY Brockport for three years and SUNY Upstate Medical University for the final three years of the program. Ryan is enrolled in Civil Engineering at Clarkson University. The first recipient of the Women’s STEM Scholarship went to Catherine Pickering.  Catherine is studying in BFA, NYU Game Center at New York University Tisch School of Arts.

Hilton Education Foundation was incorporated in 2006 to provide students with opportunities beyond what the school district can provide. Along with awarding scholarships, HEF supports the Cadet Cupboard. Hilton Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit led by a seven-member Board of Directors that is comprised of volunteer members from the community, business and education, and is a member of the American Schools Foundation Alliance. One Hundred (100%) percent of all Cadet Cupboard and Scholarship donations go directly to the students. The four (4%) percent administrative fees are funded by the Foundation’s fund-raising activities. The Hilton Education Foundation does not receive funding from the Hilton Central School District.

2018 Hilton Education Foundation Scholarship Winners

In 2018 the Hilton Education Foundation awarded three Scholarships, each recipient was awarded $2500 in addition a Surface Pro 4 tablet computer donated by an alumni. The Foundation also administers nine other private scholarships and manages contributions to the fund.
